Filter banned words, bad names, caps, mass pings and private info
You can find these modules in the /automod menu under Content. If you haven't set up a rule before, read this page first.
| Module | What it does |
|---|---|
| Banned Words | Words or phrases you don't want, separated by a comma or a new line. |
| Bad Names | Banned words in nicknames, usernames and display names. |
| Caps Lock | Messages that are more than 70% capital letters. Messages under 10 characters are skipped. |
| Wall of Text | Messages longer than 1000 characters. |
| Zalgo Text | Glitchy stacked text. |
| Detectors | Private info like IP addresses, phone numbers, emails, credit cards and crypto wallets. |
| Mentions | Mass pings, like too many in one message or any @everyone and @here ping. |
Bypass tricks is on by default for Banned Words and also catches lookalike letters. For Bad Names, add the Fix Name action to remove the banned part from their nickname. For Mentions, add your staff role to Allowed Pings if members should be able to ping it.
For Caps Lock, Wall of Text, Zalgo Text and Mentions, only the strictest matching rule runs, like the one with the higher limit. Banned Words, Bad Names and Detectors run every rule that matches. See More than one rule.
Use the Allow list for false positives. If "ass" is banned, add "class" and "pass" to it.
